Here’s what’s happening in the InterPlanetary File System (opens new window) galaxy!
# Building Web3: Pinata
We’re excited to launch the latest video in the Building Web3 series, highlighting leading projects in the Web3 and decentralized storage ecosystems. Building Web3: Pinata (opens new window) is a look at the Pinata (opens new window) service and team. Today, Pinata builds tools and infrastructure that make it easy for Web3 developers to create and manage content on IPFS while also leading a charge in how the world stores, accesses, and verifies blockchain-linked content. One way in which all this comes together is the world of NFTs, where Pinata provides secure and verifiable file storage to considerably streamline the process of minting, selling, and transferring NFTs. # A Brave New Wallet
Brave is a privacy-focused browser where you are not a product. A search engine that doesn’t track you. An opt-in ad economy that rewards you for browsing. A growing ecosystem of users. In January, Brave announced native support for IPFS directly in the browser. Next up for Brave: the Brave Wallet and the vision of a native crypto wallet for every internet user. During Browsers 3000, Brave engineer Anirudha Bose talked through the future of Brave Wallet and the Brave browser’s use of IPFS. Check out the talk here. (opens new window)
# Brand new on IPFS
- Introducing Nebulus, a "Virtual IPFS", emulating IPFS locally by maintaining a tree of symbolic links generated by calculating the IPFS hashes offline, without connecting to the IPFS network. Get started! (opens new window)
- Protocol Labs Software Engineer Héctor joined Encode Filecoin Club to walk devs and students through IPFS. Watch here. (opens new window)
- The latest from Browsers 3000! Catch up with Mauve for a learning session (opens new window) about Agregore, “A minimal web browser for the distributed web.”
- IPFS Ecosystem Lead Dietrich Ayala took the stage at ETHOdyssey for a “Building with IPFS and Filecoin” workshop. If you missed it, catch up. (opens new window)

Social Media Manager (opens new window): Protocol Labs is seeking a Social Media Manager to both build best-practice growth strategies, own social tactics, and posting across all of our various channels. Your goal is to assist, educate, and excite every member of our community. You will be responsible for communication with our community primarily on Twitter, Reddit, and Slack but also occasionally over email, Telegram, Discord and other channels. This audience includes everyone from industry leaders, Protocol Labs partners, and investors to storage providers, developers, and users. Protocol Labs, Remote.
Senior Software Engineer (opens new window): Distributed systems engineering lies at the center of many projects at Protocol Labs. With IPFS, libp2p, Filecoin, and other related projects, we are laying the foundation for a more resilient, more secure, distributed version of the web. This requires rigorous engineering from protocol design through all the phases of implementation. We strike a balance between pragmatism (put it on a ship ⛴), deeply informed protocol design, and strict application of strong engineering principles. All of this happens in an environment defined by curiosity, passion, and a love for open source. Protocol Labs, Remote.
Fullstack Engineer (opens new window): Textile's web products and services are written primarily in Golang and TypeScript, and communicate with Textile's core gRPC services. You will own the end user experience and have full ownership over the product stack, from research and development to implementation and production monitoring. Textile, Remote.
Backend/API Engineer (opens new window): As a Backend/API Engineer, you will research, contribute to the product vision and help define the roadmap of multiple products. You will build and maintain features on the Textile Hub (opens new window), and build new services and systems to integrate with blockchain networks including Threads (opens new window), Buckets (opens new window), Hub (opens new window), and Powergate (opens new window). This role is for someone with solid coding experience and the ability to lead new features. Textile, Remote.
Product Manager, Developer Experience (opens new window): As a Product Manager on the Developer Experience team at 3Box Labs, you'll be in charge of delivering a best-in-class experience for developers building on the Ceramic platform. 3Box Labs created the leading identity and data solution for Web3, and alongside the open source developer community. They’re looking for impact-driven, intentional, and fast-learning teammates. 3Box Labs, Remote.
Community Lead (opens new window): As a Community Lead at 3Box Labs, you’ll have the opportunity to create an incredibly engaged, welcoming, synergistic community around the technology and values that can help catalyze a global movement for a better web. 3Box Labs created the leading identity and data solution for Web3, and alongside the open source developer community.
